New camera

Well I finally broke down and spring for the d90. It has been absolutely awesome so far. I am loving it. Being able to auto focus my 50mm is sweet. The color control is awesome and I am just amazed of some of the pics I have been able to get so far.

Here are a few of my favorites:

I have the WOW fever

So one of my work buddies finally got me to try WOW. I am having a blast. It's what I was afraid of, consuming my free time. I think about it a lot. I think of lot of it has to do with the fact that several people from work started new characters and we are all playing. We have a great group and I got Justin to start too. We even have our own Guild!

So far I already have 2 characters. My first is a warlock named Odiousduke and he is up to level 31. I am having a blast with him. He has leveled fast due to the triple xp I am getting from Mike's refer a friend. I also started a hunter, Eroedalan and he is level 20.

So far I like my lock better but my hunter is starting to get fun. The plan is to play the hunter until Justin gets close enough to my lock. But who knows what will happen. Check out the funny pic of my pet, it looks like he is boobing for apples!

We also did our first dungeon and I liked that a lot. I am looking forward to more.

Light tent side material

I got some questions on what I used for the sides. I found this at hobby lobby:

Not sure what it is exactly but it works well. You could also use tissue paper, a sheet, or all kinds of other things.

Light Tent continued

Ok so I built my tent.

I started with a car seat box. This was about 19X20X28. Larger than I had seen.

Here it is with the sides cut out:

And with the paper.

Here are a few shots of it in action.

And here is a sample shot. Don't mind the slanted pic, I am using an old junky tri pod that leans with my SLR.

Light Tent

I have gotten on an ebay kick. While taking the pictures, I noticed how crappy they were. This was disappointing and I didn't want to miss out on cash because of my setup. I did some go googling and found this post:

That seems really neat. I bought some supplies today and hope to get it going tomorrow as I have some more things to sell. Watch this space for updates.

I did also find some other links, and they were all about the same:
